<image:title>Flowering Rush Treatment Program - Flowering Rush was first found in Lake Minnetonka in 2008 and is located in “near shore” areas around Crystal Bay, Smiths Bay, Lafayette Bay, and Big Island. It is primarily spread by water currents, boats, and other water-related equipment. Once established, the flowering rush is hard to kill. Mechanical control or hand digging are not recommended as root fragments can spread and sprout.</image:title>

<image:title>Starry Stonewort Prevention Program - Research shows the most likely place starry stonewort will be found is at or near a busy lake access. Therefore, the Lake Minnetonka Association inspects the busiest public and private access sites on Lake Minnetonka twice during the growing season. The most effective tool to combat the spread of Starry Stonewort is early detection. With early detection, it may be possible to control Starry Stonewort before spreads across the lake.</image:title>
