Gedney
Tuttle grew up in Interlachen Park in Hopkins, Minnesota. He spent
over 12 years in the Navy reserve and studied sciences related to
food manufacturing at the University of Minnesota. After his studies,
Gedney began working at the M.A. Gedney Company, a company founded
in 1880 by his great grandfather Matthius Anderson Gedney. He has
four sons, three of whom live in the Metro area. His hobbies include
skiing, sailing, tennis and paddle tennis. Gedney has long been
an active member of the community through his participation in various
organizations, including:
- The Center Arts Council
- Art Institute’s Minnesota Arts Forum
- Charter member and president of the Chaska Rotary Club
- Director of Minnesota Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Minnesota
Chamber as it is now commonly called)
- Board of Minnesota International Health Volunteers
- Board of Minnesota Dollars for Scholars
- Board of Lake Minnetonka Association
