The Lake Minnetonka Association is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to the betterment and preservation of Lake Minnetonka. We accomplish this by focusing on the areas of lake preservation and protection that will benefit the entire lake community.

The Lake Minnetonka Association programs and projects are largely funded through the contributions of members and friends.

The Lake Minnetonka Association promotes education, open communication and social interaction among its members through association events. By forming a lasting relationship with members of the lake community, we create a kinship of lakeshore owners and businesses involved in the protection of Lake Minnetonka.

The Lake Minnetonka Lakeshore Owners Association (LMLOA) was formed in 1989 to address concerns with Eurasian watermilfoil and property taxes. The LMLOA re-organized in 1996 and incorporated Lake Minnetonka Association as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation.
